Kieran is a grade 11 student at Tamanawis Secondary who enjoys playing soccer, basketball and various sports, he can't wait to get to the village to see what daily life is like for people out there! Kieran is also excited for the hikes and sights of Vietnam and is very happy that he'll get to eat Asian food for two weeks! Kieran is hopeful that this awesome experience isn't the last of its kind for him!
Balpreet, a grade 12 student at Tamanawis who loves to volunteer. She's decided to take part in this trip not only to give back but to see how other people in the world live. She's looking forward to visiting the beautiful Ha Long Bay, the hike in Mai Chau as well as the walk through the Old Quarter. Also she can't wait to go shopping in Hong Kong for a new phone to update her only selfie pic from grade 8.
Harleen Bains has been MIA. This is probably due to her nervousness of missing three days of Chem is finally coming to fruition. Harleen is looking forward to not watching the canucks in their downward spiral and having a rooster wake her up so she can crack on with her Chem homework. Exciting times are ahead! She's also really excited about working in the village and having a longest eyelashes competition against Mr. McCallum.

Mrs. Kameka is super thrilled to be a part of the WHEEL program! She can’t wait to share an amazing journey with such an incredible group of individuals! Mrs. Kameka teaches Humanities, Social Studies and Geography at Tamanawis. Outside of teaching, she is the most happy when she is playing in the outdoors. Some of her outdoor adventures include hiking, camping, biking, skiing, and kayaking. Mrs. Kameka also has a passion for travelling the world. She loves exploring new environments, meeting new people, and learning about new cultures.

Hi, Kassy here! I’m a grade 11 student who loves running and writing, (though not at the same time :p. I'm so eager to be traveling across the world along with the wheel program. I would have never imagined myself going to Vietnam before, but now I can’t wait to throw all my enthusiasm, effort and energy into building a school. Hopefully I’ll be able to stay awake with the time change for all the excitement!
Dilpreet is a grade 12 student who is very excited to go to Vietnam. She enjoys playing sports and being active. She wants to peruse a career in law.
Manpreet is a student in the twelfth grade that is looking forward to trying to barter with the locals for gifts for her family and friends. She has always loved helping others and is looking forward to getting muddy and working on building the classroom. She believes that “the only way to end the cycle of poverty is through education" and what we are doing is a small way of helping alleviate it in the area. She is also excited about trying new foods, good thing she is knows how to use chop sticks!

Corinna is a grade 11 student who enjoys school….most days! She was involved in the Leadership Team last year and enjoyed working the Community Dinner and helping others. She also enjoys being active thru her dance and student teaching younger students. Working on the Community Dinner last year and student teaching dance, she has discovered that she loves to help others. She is really looking forward to her trip to help others and learning to do brick work. Who knows this brick work might help her in the future! likes to explore and go on adventures. He is looking forward to embarking on his

Muskan Chhina is a Grade 12 student who is interested in pursuing an
education in health sciences. She actively volunteers with "Fraser Health" and
the "Heart and Stroke Foundation" to gain experience and knowledge. She loves
helping the community and is looking forward to travelling and building a school
in Vietnam. It is a great opportunity and she is delighted to be a part of it
and do something that gives the kids in Vietnam the same opportunities that we
have here.
Mr. McCallum started the Wheel program and been involved since its inception in 2010. Previous years trips have included far away journeys to South Surrey, Whalley and even Vancouver. His vast experience of traveling to exotic places such as Williams Lake and Winnipeg should give much needed traveling expertise to this years group. He is most excited about seeing polar bears and the overnight train ride in the boys cart after a scheduled meal of beans. He is very proud of the 20 students going on the trip and looks forward to seeing this awesome experience through the eyes of his students!

Ms. Moennick has been teaching at Tamanawis since 2000 and is very excited to be a part of the WHEEL program. In the past she has taken Wildcats to Hawaii, New York, China and numerous short overnight trips and can’t wait to give this group of amazing seniors the opportunity to explore another part of the world.
